The system allows users to set up a friendship relation and facilitate the sharing of information and data between themselves.

Images, videos documents and web URLs can be shared among users of the system with mechanism for other users to comment.

Users can import/export contents to/from external social networks like Facebook and Twitter, RSS feeds and Google Calendar. The contents can be in turn shared within our private social network.

POIs are provided with a map from which users can perform check-in into different locations. Nearby places, friends and ongoing events can be routed to the users with a map view based on their check-in places.

Each user has a private calendar to maintain their schedule. Activities and events can be created and shared. Locations of the events and activities can be viewed and created on a map as well.

The system also provides messaging and chatting function for users to interact. Location based messaging is also supported.

A search engine is provided for users to search through information and data that are available to him/her. The search results can be browsed in various formats including simple list and spatial-temporal format in the form of calendar and maps.

The system also allows the creation of work or discussion groups where a subset of users can discuss and work with each other without having friend relationship.

The system is accessible from phones via mobile apps making it possible to receive or send contents that are location sensitive.

Data analytics will be heavily adopted in the system for discovering user's interests and better organizing user’s information.
